My sister and brian were right, the new Joanna album is phenomenal and I'm just beginning to absorb it. The song "baby birch" is my obsession for the moment. I found an ancient roach under my bed last night and tripped out while listening to the 3 disc gloriousness. I can't wait to buy it on vinyl! You can listen to it in its entirety at NPR.
i thoroughly like the entirety of this post. you would be hard put to find someone who appreciates a found roach more than your lil' sis. same goes for baby birch, because i love it. but i also really love on a good day, soft as chalk and kingfisher... listening to it in its entirety is intense, i never expect to but then i just don't turn it off or change it... vinyl is a must, even though she's so wasteful with fucking paper which i do not appreciate. it's one of those totally tradition j-new conundrums. when an ego starts demanding too many tree deaths i take issue a bit.
