I watched Be Here to Love Me the other night which is this amazing documentary about the life of Townes Van Zandt. It was a beautiful and intriguing portrait of a super talented complex guy. Some of the stories in it are so insane! Like the time Townes jumped off a balcony 4 stories up for no real reason... or the time he accidentally glued his mouth shut with airplane glue... such a compelling crazy person. Watching his kids speak about their late father was especially touching and heartbreaking.

My sister and brian were right, the new Joanna album is phenomenal and I'm just beginning to absorb it. The song "baby birch" is my obsession for the moment. I found an ancient roach under my bed last night and tripped out while listening to the 3 disc gloriousness. I can't wait to buy it on vinyl! You can listen to it in its entirety at NPR.
